Tazumal was the first ruin we visited. Our guide through the museum and around the grounds was very good, but it was in Spanish. While we walked through the shops, I took pictures of flowers and then this young man picked one of each and gave them to me. I put them in Franks hat. Then we went to the Townhouse restaurant for lunch.
Next was the San Andres ruins. After we went through the museum and walked outside, we went to the stores. All 4 ladies bought a necklace made by the gentleman. He is Mayan and spoke to us in the Mayan language as well as English. He had a big ear ring in his ear. He gave us each some encense and wrote the date in Mayan. It was interesting to visit with him.
Joya de Ceren ruin is underground. It had the most work done on it. We walked to five different areas where they have dug out around the ruins.
