Journey on Lake Atitlan

"And the one being is as PRECIOUS in his sight as the other. And he created them, that they should keep his commandments and glorify him forever." Jacob 2:21
Lake Atitlan is a very beautiful place. This is a picture from our hotel room.

The name of the boat we rode in across Lake Atitlan was NANCY. We went to a village next to the volcano behind me. We went to three villages. First San Juan, next San Pedro and then Santiago; John, Peter, and James. There are 12 villages and they are named after the 12 apostles. Frank is talking to our guide about the Book of Mormon and how we feel that Guatemala is part of the land of the Book of Mormon. He was born and raised in the village of San Pedro. I am sure glad we had him to show us around. When we got back to our Hotel, the men signed a Book of Mormon and gave it to him to read.

We went to many weaving shops, art shops, and other shops as we walked back to the boat. This is the art shop I bought my picture from. At each place we would ride up in one of the 3 wheel carts and then walked down to the boat. In the boat first the Halls, Gibbons, Us, and Kitleys. It was a fun boat ride and a great day of seeing 3 of the 12 villages around Lake Atitlan. The water was a little choppy going back to the hotel, but that made it fun.
This is the wool coat Frank bought in Panajachel, the town where are hotel was. I got this picture in a village across Lake Atitlan.
