We started the day off by walking to the multiplaza mall. Then we started our dinner at 6:00pm
Frank and I walked to the Mall and Walmart to buy something to give to the guards of our complex. Walmart was so busy we just turned around and walked out and went to Super Selectos in the Multiplaza. That is where they have the ice skating rink and lots of Christmas decorations. Frank wanted his picture taken on the couch by this big tree. Since the men were sitting there he had them stay and be in the picture.
A picture of the tall tree decorated very nice. As we walk to the mall we pass a round about decorated with angels and butterflies in the tree.
The first apartment we went to for appetizers was the Kitleys. She is very artistic and made this snowflake tree by folding papers and cutting away parts to make the snowflakes.
The second course was at the Thompsons for salad. She shared the tradition of reading a story to her grandkids each Christmas. She has stuffed animals that go along with the story, like a dog, cow, donkey. At the end, a sad donkey came to the stable door. He said to the old cow, "I have traveled long to get here and I have a man and a woman who need a warm place to stay. And the woman is going to have a child. Is there any room in your stable for us?" And the old cow again replied, "There is always room for one more." And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. May we always remember that there is always room for one more and open our hearts to let Him in. Merry Christmas
Next we had soup at our apartment. I fixed French Onion soup for Frank and I and a corn chowder for everyone else. Bro. Gibbons and Pres. Petersens tried the French Onion soup.
The Petersens gave us a turkey dinner. Pres. Petersen is cutting the turkey, Sister Petersen is opening some cranberry. They are a special couple and sure take care of us.
We had lots of good food at the Petersens. She made a lot of food and is a very good cook. After eating so much, we decided to have the gift exchange. I had my gift taken away 3 times but ended up with a necklace and bracelet and Frank got two cute stuffed animals. The last apartment we went to was the Gibbons for dessert. They have the tradition of wearing Santa hats and since Bro. Kitley got one as part of his gift, he joined in the picture.
