Elote loco

Today, Monday the 6th is a holiday here in El Salvador, called Fiestas de San Salvador. Monday is usually our "P" day. A stake requested that we be open and they had 11 buses come. There were six sessions done, starting at 5:30am and ending at 11:30am. There were lots of youth to do baptisms. It was a very busy day. We did not have to serve at the temple because we are on mornings all this week. At 5:00pm Majanos invited us to try some elote loco. Their daughter is speading an ear of corn with mayo and mustard. Then she squirts on catsup and a dark sauce. They said it was like BBQ sauce. Next she sprinkles white grated cheese all over it.

Here she is holding the finished product. We all agreed it was a different way to serve corn. I didn't think it was too bad and I plan on serving it to my family when I get home. The Thompson are enjoying theirs and Brother Kitley is showing us that it is messy to eat.

This corn is served on holidays and at fairs. Sister Kitley suggested we get a picture of see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. It was a different "P" day.
