Thanksgiving Dinner

A group picture after our Thanksgiving testimony meeting. We each expressed why we were thankful to be in El Salvador and working in the temple.

Verily I say unto you my friends, fear not, let your hearts be comforted; yea, rejoice evermore, and in everything give thanks. D & C 98:1

Happy today for the goodness of God, for our Savior Jesus Christ, for each other, for our beautiful children and grandchildren. Pres. Monson said "Sincerely giving thanks not only helps us recognize our blessings but it unlocks the doors of heaven and helps us feel Gods love. To live with gratitude ever in our hearts is to touch heaven."

Eileen Petersen is filling cups with peanuts and Poppycock popcorn. Nancy Thompson is helping. The table was decorated very festive. Arlene Kitley had made pilgram hats and Indian headbands for us to wear. Pres. Petersen is carving the turkey. We had stuffing, potatoes, gravy, cantalope, pineapple, zucchini bread, frozen fruit salad, yams and apples, and peas and carrots. I made the pies for dessert- 2 pumpkin, an apple, and cheesecake.

It was hard getting a picture of everyone around the tables. We had Petersens, us, Majanos and 2 of their grandkids, Juan and Rebeca, Gibbons, Thompsons, Alas, and Kitleys.
